Commenting on here so it doesn't clog up my blog page, even in cyber fields i'm anal about space. Photograph 1: This was taken this afternoon as a preparation for a creative photoshoot i am plotting this weekend. The photo bu its own right is very seductive, figureless and has no apparent context. Still I hope you sense a strong authorship. Explaining a simple photo sometimes distracts some of it's magic. A photo, it's flatness gives itself mostly to your observation. A lot of photos have a quality, the quality being that if it was to be painted it would look unintentionally naive. Hopefully, I portray this photo in this light, that it works better as a photo that it would on painted canvas. Unless the craft is of Gerhard Richter standards then this whole dialogue is awash. No, I stick by what I said. Photograph 2: Image detail of oil paint and nude reflection Again, in line with the nature of the first photograph. Something to provoke a little titilation. Expressionist (Bacon style) in contemporary form, inconjunction with Photograph 1 a new dialogue altogether is mustered. In a gallery space I would choose to have the two images together the way it has been presented on this blog, white walls and white frames which reminds me Brian O'Doherty is yet to discuss the white pages within internet forums.
